Permission to capture
Do you have authority to operate visual monitoring on this site, and what notice does your policy require?
Persistent cameras are different from a visit: they run when nobody is thinking about them. Kinetic requires the customer to confirm authority to operate monitoring on the site, any worker or visitor notice their policy requires, and who is permitted access. Cameras are never placed or aimed where occupants reasonably expect privacy, and that is settled at planning rather than by cropping afterwards.
Audio is off by default
Is audio to be recorded at all?
The default is video only, and that is deliberate — audio recording is treated differently from visual monitoring and carries obligations a camera alone does not. If audio is genuinely needed, Kinetic requires the customer to confirm in writing that the recording workflow complies with applicable law and their own site policy before it is enabled.
