Visual Closeout & Project Archive

The documentation Kinetic captured across the project, organised and handed over as a record somebody can still use in five years. It is a reality-capture handover — not contractual closeout, which also means record drawings, warranties, O&M manuals and lien waivers Kinetic does not produce.

Where it earns its keep

Use it for these.

  • Owners who will hold the building long after the team disperses
  • Warranty questions that arrive two years after handover
  • A future renovation that starts from what was actually built
  • Getting the record off a platform subscription before it lapses

Don’t use it for this

Contractual project closeout. Record drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, lien waivers, certificates and commissioning records are somebody else’s scope, and we will say so rather than imply otherwise.

We put this on every service page because the fastest way to waste your money is to buy the impressive tool instead of the correct one. If the row above describes your job, say so on the call and we’ll point you at the right one — including when it’s cheaper than this.

What you receive

And what it opens in.

    Included every time

  • Organised project visual archive containing the agreed Kinetic documentation, with enough contextual structure to retrieve it later
  • An index or guide to what is in it
  • The delivery mode agreed at scope — offline package, structured files, or read-only hosted access where the source platform supports it
  • A written statement of what is included and what is not

Formats

Structured file package · Offline archive · Read-only hosted access

Format is agreed against what you do with the data next — these are the ones this service commonly delivers in, not a promise of every format on every project. Delivered to a shared project folder anyone on the job can open: no accounts, no per-seat charge, and if you leave, the record leaves with you.

The boundary

Where this scope ends.

Options on this scope

  • Final-condition 2D photo set
  • Final 360 capture
  • Final aerial map
  • Milestone highlights
  • Selected time-lapse
  • Owner-training videos
  • Hosted read-only access where the source platform supports it
  • Local or offline archive where the source platform supports an export

Not something Kinetic does

  • General contractor closeout management
  • Record and as-built drawing certification
  • O&M manual compilation
  • Warranty administration
  • Lien waivers
  • Certificate-of-occupancy administration
  • Commissioning
  • Owner acceptance certification
  • Asset-management consulting

Where a project needs one of these, we say so and point you at someone licensed to do it.

Before it can be scheduled

One question that changes the answer.

  • How long it has to last

How long does this record need to outlive the project, and who will hold it?

Kinetic can only hand over what the source platforms will actually export, and a third-party provider's retention policy is not something Kinetic can guarantee. The answer decides the delivery mode — a package you hold yourself, or hosted access on somebody's terms for an agreed period — and it is settled before the archive is built, not after a subscription lapses.

Before we can price it

What we’d ask you.

Kinetic confirms the scope with you before anything is scheduled. None of it is a form to fill in — it is what the conversation covers.

  • Who will open this, and what will they be trying to find?
  • Which parts of the record need to survive the project?
  • Do you need it hosted, or handed over as files you hold yourself?
  • Is there a contract requirement this has to satisfy?

What changes the size of the job

  • Volume and number of datasets
  • Project duration covered
  • Number of source platforms
  • Indexing depth
  • Delivery mode
  • Hosted access duration
  • Archive requirements
  • Turnaround

Useful to have, none of it required to start

  • Who the archive is for, and what they will do with it
  • Which Kinetic datasets are in scope
  • Required delivery mode — offline package, structured files or hosted access
  • Any owner or contract archive requirement to satisfy
  • How long hosted access is needed, if any
  • Where the record will live afterwards, and who is responsible for it

Tell us the job. We’ll tell you if this is the right tool for it.

Send the project — an address, a schedule, or just what you’re trying to document. A person reads it and comes back with an approach and a price.
